about the event
The Bone Frog Open – Irish Edition is a weekend built around purpose, remembrance, and meaningful connection. It is one of several signature events supporting Uncommon Grit SEAL Foundation’s mission of removing barriers to healing, stability, and connection for military, veterans, first responders, and their families.
Join the local community, Navy SEALs, veterans, and other VIPs for two days of awareness, camaraderie, and fun. Come to campus on Sunday evening for drinks, finger foods, engaging speakers, and an auction with one-of-a-kind items. On Monday, golfers will enjoy a full outing experience at Warren Golf Course, including breakfast, the Bloody Mary Bar, on-course food and drinks, golfer swag, specialty holes, and post-golf awards.
This year’s Sunday program will feature two extraordinary voices connected to one of the most widely known military events in modern history. We are honored to welcome Army Ranger Dale Sizemore and Army Lieutenant Colonel Stephen DeLellis, Ret., both tied to the Battle of Mogadishu and the Black Hawk helicopter incident depicted in the book and film Black Hawk Down.
Stephen DeLellis has shared publicly about being aboard the first downed Black Hawk during the Battle of Mogadishu, and Dale Sizemore is recognized as a Bravo Company, 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment veteran of Operation Gothic Serpent.
Their stories bring firsthand perspective on courage, sacrifice, survival, leadership, and the bonds formed in service. Their presence will make this year’s event especially meaningful as we gather to honor those who serve and support those who still carry the weight of their service.

Local impact
Since 2024, the Bone Frog Open - Irish Edition has made possible nearly $30,000 of local support in areas of mental health, suicide prevention, technology access, and veteran homelessness. This impact has supported trusted local and mission-aligned organizations working directly with veterans, first responders, and their families.
