Request Support for Individuals & Non-501(c)(3) Groups
support application
If you serve military, veterans, or first responders—and your request supports wellbeing, readiness, recovery, stability, or connection—this form is for you.
Use this form if you are an individual or if you are a unit/station, department, or informal group that supports (or is part of) the military/veteran/first responder community and you’re seeking assistance for a specific need. If you are a qualified 501(c)(3) nonprofit, please use this application instead.
What we can support:
We prioritize requests that strengthen one or more of these outcomes:
Healing — mental health, physical readiness, recovery resources, stress support, and pathways to wellness
Stability — resources that reduce barriers and help people stay steady and capable on a daily basis
Connection — belonging, peer support, mentorship, team cohesion, purpose
What we typically don’t fund:
To protect donor trust and keep impact focused, we generally don’t fund:
Routine operating expenses (overhead, payroll, rent, utilities)
Ongoing subscriptions/recurring costs without a clear long-term plan
Political, religious, or lobbying activities
Projects that can’t be verified or lack leadership authorization (when required)
Requests without a clear plan, timeline, and budget/estimates
Before you apply:
Please be ready to share a short request summary, estimated costs (quotes preferred), who benefits, and how you’ll measure success. If approved, support is often provided by paying a vendor directly or purchasing items on your behalf rather than issuing funds to an individual.
We may ask for a leadership/command contact so we can verify the request and align expectations.
Submission of an application does not guarantee funding. Uncommon Grit SEAL Foundation reserves the right to approve or deny any request, in whole or in part, at its sole discretion.
